Sunset #1
Sunset September 22, 2007 on the bay of Lake Champlain. Absolutely no way possible to capture the grandeur of this sunset - but I tried.
-
Sunset #2
Rays of light shining in every possible direction added to the drama of nature's majesty.
-
Sunset #3
Gloriously dramatic.

Sunset Ends
As the sun slipped down behind the mountains, the sky lit up with rays, darkness yet that glowing light from behind. It was a very spiritual thing to see in such a peaceful and bucolic setting.
-
Moody
As the sun set on a glorious but hazy day, the water and sky took on a moody quality, with the magnificence of Rattlesnake Mountain in the foreground and the Adirondack High Peaks in the distance.
-
Fenced In
Trailing vines starting to turn in the lakeside autumn sun.

Mill Power
Hanging precariously from the edge of a cliff, this mill is still in use. It started as a lumber mill in the late 19th century, running in that capacity for 70 years. It came to a halt for about 25 years until the energy crisis of the 1970s. It is utilized to provide electricity to the Village of Whallensburg, NY - even today.

Blessed Be
This is the community church in the Village of Essex, NY - on the banks of Lake Champlain.
-
Founding Family
The Adst family were the first settlers on Lake Champlain; they built this cabin in 1778 and raised 14 children in this rustic, tiny place.

Signs of Autumn
One of the classic signs of autumns pending arrival is the mowing and rolling of hay. This was taken on the roadside in the northwest corner of the Adirondacks.
